Houston, Texas – February 15, 2011 – Westlake Chemical Corporation (NYSE:WLK) announced today two executive appointments. Mr. Mike Mattina has been promoted to the position of Vice President & General Manager – North American Pipe Corporation, with overall P & L responsibility for the PVC pipe business. Mr. Mattina had been previously serving as the Vice President, Commercial for the company’s polyethylene business and has been with the company for 9 years.
Mr. Mike Powell has been appointed Vice President & General Manager – Westech Building Products, and will assume P & L responsibility for the PVC windows, fence and related building products business. Mr. Powell had previously been the Vice President & General Manager – North American Pipe Corporation and has been with Westlake for 6 years.
Both Mr. Mattina and Mr. Powell will report to Mr. Bob Buesinger, Sr. Vice President for the Vinyls Segment.
